That time when I found my book on screen

Hey guys,

No excuse for my lack of updates. I know I keep asking you to be patient with me, and I'm sick of myself for that. I need to maintain some kind of focus! Ahhhh!

So anyway, I don't know if I had shared in my previous posts about me having other book ideas apart from the one I'm working on right now. I have 3 or 4 other book concepts/storylines/ideas which have been playing back and forth in my head. (I'm really excited for that to happen). One day I was watching a movie which is probably 2 years old, it is kinda famous so I guess many people would have watched it. It was a movie which had to much publicity and I wasn't interested in either of the actors but I was bored as hell that day and I decided to let it play and what the hell, 70% of my book's concept was playing on screen. I'm bummed that I have to kick that idea out of the way, I know for a fact that most people will think that I stole the concept from the movie if I was to go ahead and write it anyway. The concept was better than the one novel I'm working on right now. Or at least that's what it feels like when it replays over and over again in my head! I'm curious whether it's a common thing for writers -To see your storyline in someone else's book summary or even on screen. Fellow writers do drop me your thoughts on this.

Ok, today is a public holiday for me. You would think I'd have the time today to get some writing done. But no, I have so many things to do today and I don't want to write something shitty just to make me feel better that I got something done.

The picture above makes no sense to this post, just sharing a pic which I took last week when I was out checking out towns, it's my peace offering :P So please don't be mad when you come here and see no updates. I'm always thinking about getting the novel completed and staying in touch with you guys, even though it may seem like I'm starting to slack.

Till the next time,

Love,

Naia
